Its finally here! A catch can kit that solves many issues with a vent to atmosphere kits. Currently limited to single turbo kits with 4" intakes and cars that run Front Mount Intakes. This is our hybrid recirculation kit. Why recirculate you might ask? The answer is simple; it helps with 3 things.
First the 2 largest ones. Smell and Oil spray over your hood and engine bay. There is nothing worse than driving your expensive car down the road and it smells like your about to die with exhaust gasses coming through your vents.
Second, the oil spray coming from your catch can setup and spraying all over your freshly clean build or engine bay. But does recirculating those gasses back though your engine loose power and bad for the engine? Our catch can design helps scrub most of the oil water and contaminates coming from your engine. So only the hydrocarbons are sent back though the engine. This is nothing new and these cars still make insane power doing so. Better for the environment and no harm to your engine as that was what the PCV was doing anyway.
We talked about the first 2 benefits now here is the 3rd. The way we introduce back into the engine is 2 different ways depending on your build. First the single turbo. We have designed a velocity stack for the single turbo guys. But not just a simple velocity stack. Ours is a bit different and make from a single piece of aluminum. We have used our aerospace engineering to help develop a vacuum port of sorts to help draw pressure from the catch can and valve cover. Having negative pressure is an added benefit as it frees up lost HP by sucking out that positive case pressure. Drag, Race, high end street cars take advantage of this as they add a vacuum pump to their system. Weve basically designed a lower pressure vacuum pump without adding a pump itself. No creating too much vacuum that it could suck oil from the engine. So, another net positive.
Our front mount intake guys... why just you? It comes down to mounting points in the engine for a catch can setup. We were able to design a bracket to mount the catch can and develop a concept almost the same as the single turbo guys. This ties into your intake elbow and offers the same concept of recirculating and negative pressure in the system.
Our catch can come with everything but the lines itself. We cannot keep up with the number of configurations this will be able to service. But the AN lines are simple to build. Our catch can come with a dip stick, and I think we are the only company that shows you the entire parts list of our catch can setup. We have been running these kits on our test cars for over a year now. Collecting data as we continue log mileage and time on these kits. Kits that have seen upwards of 50lbs of boost running on pump gas as well as straight E85.
These kits work with our billet valve covers or kits that run a 2x 10an catch can system. We are in current development for those running stock valve covers and looking to add a catch can to their setup. Watch our Instagram for the latest updates.
Let’s with item not being specific on what else hardware you’ll need to install it. Having to reach out back to the company to get hardware. Just didn’t expect it to hold my project back weeks
Elvys,
Thank you for your review. We would like to address the concerns you raised regarding your purchase.
You purchased our catch can kit and had the installation performed by Rick at MLife in New York. We were initially contacted by Rick regarding the hoses required to complete your specific setup. As clearly stated on our website, hoses are not included with this kit. Additionally, the product photos accurately depict the contents of the kit and do not show any hoses as included components.
Prior to and following your purchase, we did not receive any inquiries from you regarding what was included with the kit or what additional components might be required for your particular application. We are always happy to answer questions and help customers ensure they have everything needed before beginning an installation.
The reason hoses are not included is that there are numerous turbo kit configurations on the market, each with unique routing and fitment requirements. Providing a universal hose solution is simply not practical, as even minor variations in length can render a pre-manufactured hose unusable. In many cases, custom hoses made during installation provide the best fit and functionality for the specific vehicle setup.
A great deal of thought and development goes into all of our products, and we strive to provide accurate descriptions and product information to help customers make informed purchasing decisions. In this case, a simple email or phone call could have quickly clarified what was included and potentially avoided any frustration.
We also noted that Rick responded to your review directly, after which the review was changed from your name to an anonymous profile. While we respect every customer’s right to share their experience, we believe reviews should fairly represent the facts and information provided. Our website clearly states what is and is not included with this product, and we stand behind the accuracy of that information.
We appreciate your feedback and remain available to assist with any questions regarding our products.
